The Bill House is proud to announce it has been recognised as ‘Highly Commended’ in the Landscape and Gardens category at the Sussex Heritage Trust 2024 Awards.
This award proves the care and dedication invested in the preservation and enhancement of The Bill House’s historic gardens.
The Bill House Dementia Garden was lovingly designed by Annie Guilfoyle, who is based in West Sussex and has judged gardens at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The Bill House sought the support of Guilfoyle due to their shared belief in the power of gardens to stimulate, nurture and healing.
The Sussex Heritage Trust Awards celebrate the region’s annual achievements in conservation, restoration, and design, highlighting projects that demonstrate outstanding commitment to preserving the area’s rich heritage.
The Bill House was recognised for its meticulous and sensitive approach to landscape design, which blends historical elements with contemporary dementia support in mind.
