The Bill House Spa

As well as ensuring every bedroom offers a safe, comfortable, private haven for our residents, over the past two years we have dedicated time and resources to perfecting our communal spaces and facilities. Using all our experience, as well as expert architects and designers, we have created a space in which residents and staff can feel engaged and comfortable. Inside and out, each space is designed to provide an airy, elegant environment, with everything planned around resident wellbeing. There is a club, library and conservatory, as well as a main lounge, dining room and separate space for staff. Don’t forget the spa and hair salon. Whatever the activity - be it eating and drinking, reading, socialising, exercising, playing games or enjoying entertainment - The Bill House is designed to facilitate it.

As The Bill House is a seaview residential home, all facilities have been carefully designed to make the most of our coastal location, with views of the English Channel on three sides, and exceptional gardens that allow our residents to enjoy the soothing sound of the ocean waves.

Dementia Garden

Countless studies have shown that spending time in nature can be vital to the wellbeing and contentment of individuals living with dementia. While all the outside space at The Bill House has been thought through with welfare in mind, the jewel in the crown is the state-of-the-art dementia garden.

    Social spaces

    The Bill House Facilities

    Arches & Terrace

The Arches is a communal living room. It has an array of seating for social opportunities, or it can be a reflective space in which to relax and admire the lovely gardens and views of the sea. Step out onto the south facing terrace for beautiful views across to the Isle of Wight.

    The Bill House Lounge

    The Lounge

At the communal heart of our beautiful home sits the lounge. It's an airy, comfortable space, with stunning vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to sea. A home from home, where our residents can relax, play games, watch TV or simply enjoy each other's company.

    The Bill House Library

    The Library

Our library, located in the oldest part of the building, comes with a terrific sea view. Whether you are settling into a good book – perhaps inspired by the Arts & Crafts writers we have drawn on in perfecting the Bill House – or simply watching the world go by, the library is a private, deeply peaceful place for contemplation.

Club Room at The Bill House

    The Club

Within the exclusive surroundings of the Old Bill House, the club offers another layer of privacy and quietude. It’s designed to replicate the feeling of a private members’ club, a cosy space for reading, listening to music, meeting visitors or playing games with friends. Like the library, it can be booked for exclusive use, and our staff are on hand to arrange whatever you might like to use it for.

    The Bill House Conservatory Interior

    Conservatory

Another opportunity for walking and exploring a range of spaces in which to spend your time. Garden greens visible through the large full-height windows accentuate the outdoors in this tucked-away haven that accesses a quiet patio.

    The Bill House Snug

    The Snug

The snug, meanwhile, is a discreet smaller space, designed to feel like a room at home. Positioned next to the conservatory, the snug is bathed in beautiful daylight. A quiet, non-overwhelming spot to relax or watch a favourite movie.

    Dining Room

A laid-back space in which to enjoy the wonderful food on offer at The Bill House. Whether to enjoy a continental breakfast, a two-course hot lunch, a delicious dinner...or a decadent slice of cake, our residents can sit with friends at a rich wooden table or tuck themselves away in a more private booth.
